Progress Photos of my Spiritual Skin Journey!

As promised, here are some follow up progress photos of my spiritual skin journey!  In less than a week into 2013, after setting the goal to get my Spiritual Skin tattoo design inked, here I am with a beautiful 9 1/2 x 10″ healing tattoo across my throat and heart chakras.

This post is a brief follow up to my previous blog post about manifesting in 2013 and finding MY perfect tattoo artist to bring Tania Marie’s Spiritual Skin design to the flesh, and more prominently into Being.

With nerves in a jumble and excitement streaming out of my pores, I trekked into Dartmouth on Sunday to meet with my soul brother Kyle Bowles for my 1st sitting to do the outline of my Spiritual Skin tattoo.  With Rescue Remedy, Colour Therapy Peace & Harmony, a couple Quartz crystals, and some vegan samosas in my belly I arrived and set mySelf up on his table.  Since this is such a detailed design, the first hour or so was spent printing and copying the design onto carbon paper to stencil onto my back – phew, an opportunity to breathe and relax . . .  time spent with my friends Kris and Kyle, chatting, and calming my nerves.  I am so grateful for both of these special people who came into my life in the last few months, and of course, Divinely timed as always.

The time came for the actual tattooing to begin.  Immediately my stomach flipped, had to use the bathroom for about the 3rd time in an hour, and then positioned mySelf face down on the table, staring at the floor and Kyle’s boots, while gripping (for the full 4 1/2 hrs) my clear quartz Friend with little local snow quartz friend beside.  Kyle tells me, “ok, I’m going to do a small line.  You ready?”  I grip, bear down, and say “mmmhmm.”  And the sound of the tattoo machine comes on . . . bzzzzzzzzzzz . . . then the first small line . . . OMG!!!  I think to mySelf, “you CAN do this.”  I begin to use my Yoga breath and to stare, and to grip.  I think my body flinched more for the first 30 minutes every time he touched me with his finger to put vaseline on my back, than it did with the actual tattooing!  I am in deep gratitude to all of you who sent me calming, relaxed energy vibes and whose thoughts were with me, and to Kris for sitting with me for much of the process and bringing me chocolate almond milk for a sugar boost (vegan style) when she returned 🙂  I made it through, I did it, with only 2 short pee breaks!  Kyle told me I “sat like a champ.”  Small ego boost here, tee hee.

Now to return for the 2nd and final sitting for this piece, the shading, where the real KAPOW of the design will come to life.  In about 3-4 weeks time, my Spiritual Skin tattoo will be complete.  Wow.  I wonder what other BIG things I will co-create and manifest this year?  After all, we’re only two weeks in!  I hope you enjoy these photos that Kris captured of my sacred journey.  As Tania Marie put it, it really has been the transformational experience it is meant to be.

For any of you feeling called to connect with Tania Marie for your very own Spiritual Skin tattoo design, you can do so here:  www.spiritualskin.com or find her on facebook.  My talented and passionate tattoo artist can be reached on facebook by searching Kyle Bowles, or you can contact me personally and I will connect you 🙂
